Srinagar, May 02: Jammu and Kashmir showcased an impressive performance at the first Federation Cup 2024–25, held at the Divisional Sports Complex, Nashik, Maharashtra, by clinching five bronze medals across various age categories. The championship witnessed participation from top Taekwondo athletes across the country, making J&K’s achievement a proud moment for the Union Territory.
The young athletes demonstrated determination, skill, and sportsmanship, standing out among tough competition and bringing glory to the region. The participation of athletes reflects the growing interest and development of Taekwondo in Jammu and Kashmir and their experience at a national-level event will no doubt inspire more youth to take up the sport. Gratitude is extended to the Taekwondo Association of Jammu and Kashmir for providing this significant platform for young talent. The Association expressed special thanks go to Ram Krishan Sharma President Kimti Lal Jain, general secretary Tarsem Sharma working president of the Taekwondo Association of J&K and also to Mukesh Thakur for his leadership and continuous support. Special gratitude was also extended to Mansha Bashir and Muzaffar Sheikh, the dedicated coaches who trained and guided the team with excellence and commitment. This achievement marks a promising step forward for martial arts in the region and sets the stage for even greater accomplishments in the future.
