J&K CM orders Rs 1.70 Cr financial assistance to Mulwarwan fire victims

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday has sanctioned one crore seventy lac rupees from J&K relief fund as financial assistance in favour of fire affected sufferers of Malwarwan area of Kishtwar district.

According to an order a copy, the deputy Commissioner Kishtwar has been directed to disburse the amount among 85 fire sufferers and each of them has been directed to be paid Rs 2 lac.

It reads, ” I am directed to refer your letter No. DCK/PS/24/F.No 02/1506 dated 22.10.2024 regarding the subject cited above. In this connection, it is to inform that the Hon’ble Chief Minister, J&K is pleased to sanction an amount of Rs. 170.00 lakh (Rupees one Crore Seventy lakh only) out of J&K Relief Fund as financial assistance in favour of fire affected sufferers of Mulwarwan, District Kishtwar took place on 14.10.2024.”

“In this regard, the said amount of Rs. 170.00 lakh has been transferred through NEFT on 22.10.2024 into your official account bearing No. 0570010200001310 favouring Accounts Officer Deputy Commissioner Office, Kishtwar maintained in J&K Bank TP Branch Kishtwar for its further disbursement among the 85 fire sufferers @ Rs. 2.00 lakh/ per sufferer and also acknowledged the receipt of payment”, the order reads.
