Jammu, Aug 23: The next session of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Assembly is likely to be held in Srinagar after the Navratras, and is expected to witness heated debates, with the ruling National Conference (NC) and its ally Congress gearing up to intensify their demand for the restoration of statehood.
“We have been informed that the next Assembly session of the J&K UT will be held anytime after the Navratras in Srinagar,” BJP MLA from Jammu East, YudhvirSethi, told Rising Kashmir, adding that the exact dates will be finalised soon.

Preparations for the upcoming session have already begun. Both the ruling NC-Congress alliance and the main Opposition BJP are working on their strategies.
