Grandfather, father, brother are names, yet all that remains is a heart full of pain. We cry, we wail and long for you to come back, but our pain and sorrow has become an untouched stack. Your pretty blue eyes blend with your fair skin, your smile adding a glow to your perfect trim. Yet it's all a facade hiding your true self, your personality more beautiful than anyone I've met. I miss you, I love you and I always will. You were a fire, now extinguished, yet the embers remain and the memory of it. You were the pillar and backbone of my life, you are my strength, my protective shadow and my pride. You've left a mark no one can erase, neither can the winds nor can the rain. You travelled so far and now you've reached, the place people dream of, the place where you're free. You always smiled, no matter what crossed your life, and still you wore it when you said your goodbye. You've reached a place where you're happy and fine, you ended victorious in your journey to eternal life. Until we meet again….! (Author is a student of Grade 8, FWS)
