Inclusive policies extend benefits to all sections of society in J&K: LG

Jammu, Nov 09: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the Pensioners Sammelan and interacted with pension beneficiaries in Jammu today. 
Commending the District Administration Jammu for its unwavering efforts in achieving saturation in the Integrated Social Security Scheme (ISSS), the Lt Governor acknowledged the outreach to 63,919 beneficiaries in the old-age, widow’s, and Divyang categories.
Addressing the gathering, Lt Governor Sinha emphasized the commitment to establishing a comprehensive social security net and improving the living standards of every citizen. He highlighted the inclusive nature of Central and UT Schemes, ensuring that every section of society benefits without discrimination.
Reiterating the J&K Administration’s dedication to empowering the common man and integrating deprived sections into the developmental mainstream, Lt Governor Sinha expressed the collective goal of progress, prosperity, and a better quality of life for all.
During the Pensioners Sammelan, Lt Governor Sinha shared various social welfare initiatives of the government, crediting Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for guiding these efforts that have successfully addressed developmental imbalances in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sinha praised the administration’s fearless decision-making in the interest of the poor and deprived, citing the saturation of several schemes as a testament to the effective execution of programs.
Calling for collaborative efforts from public representatives, officials, and civil society members, Lt Governor Sinha emphasized the need to connect all eligible beneficiaries with social security schemes, ushering in meaningful change in their lives.
The Lt Governor distributed scooties, sanction letters, and other benefits to beneficiaries during the event. Beneficiaries, in turn, shared their experiences and expressed gratitude to the administration for the seamless extension of benefits under various social welfare schemes.
The event was attended among others by Bharat Bhushan (Chairman, District Development Council Jammu), Rajinder Sharma (Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation), Ramesh Kumar (Divisional Commissioner Jammu), Anand Jain (IGP Jammu), Sachin Kumar Vaishya (Deputy Commissioner Jammu), senior officers, and beneficiaries.
