IMS Sports Club organizes ICL 1.0

Jammu, Dec 21: Sports Club of Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) Jammu organized ICL 1.0 (IMS Champions League) comprising volleyball and badminton events for the students of BBA, MBA & BCA from December 17 to 21. The event commenced with the introduction of players by Dr. Meenakshi Sharma, Director IMS who encouraged the students to actively participate in such events to create a more inclusive environment in the College.
On Day I of ICL 1.0, a volleyball competition was organized in which 8 teams participated. In the second leg, qualifying rounds of badminton competition were held in which 32 teams of boys and 18 girls competed.
Subsequently, in the next three days, semi-finals and final of badminton and volleyball events were held. The Badminton Gold medal for girls was won by Karishma Kanth (BBA1) while Silver and Bronze medals were won by Nupur Jamwal (BBA5) and Prajakta Koul (BBA5). The Gold for badminton boys (doubles) was won by Tamish Singh and Tanishq Zutshi, while Yatin Kachroo & Aryan Kumar and Lovish Thakur and Divyansh Pratap Singh won Silver and Bronze respectively. In the volleyball event, Team 1 (Captain Karan Koul – MBA) won the Gold, Team 3 (Captain Ayush Sharma BCA) won the Silver and Team 7 (Captain Nikhil Pandita BBA) won the Bronze.
The league was an immense success due to efficient management by faculty members and students were extremely happy and enthusiastic about the competitions.
