Baramulla, Nov 27. Guru Nanak Dev ji’s birth anniversary was celebrated in Baramulla district with the main function held at Gurudwara Chattipatshai.
Gurunanak Dev Ji was born in (1469) in Tilwandi which is currently in Pakistan .
Several arrangements specially security arrangements were made by the administration for smooth conduct of the programme.
Braving the cold weather, worshippers flocked to the Gurdwaras to attend special prayers and sermons and paid obeisance at Gurdwaras.
Paramjeet Singh President DGPC Baramulla while talking on the occasion said that “people should follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji so that his message of love and peace percolates down.”
SSP Baramulla Amod Nagpure addressing the gathering said that “religious co-existence, harmony, peace and progress of all has been the way of life of all Sikh Gurus and is the message of every religion”
Following the event, Langar was also served to the devotees.
