Shopian, Aug 10: In the lead-up to Independence Day celebrations, the District Administration of Shopian organized a grand Tiranga Run/Marathon, aimed at fostering patriotic fervor among the citizens. The run commenced from Batapora Stadium and concluded at DPL Shopian, with participants proudly carrying the national flag.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, civil society members, local residents, and officials, including ADC Shopian, ACR, ASP, Dy SP, and officers from Youth Services and Sports, Education, Police, and paramilitary forces. Their active involvement underscored the importance of the event in instilling a sense of national pride among the youth.
In addition to the main event, Tiranga Rallies were held at various locations across the district, including Keller and Kanjiullar blocks, organized by tehsil and block administrative offices. A rally was also conducted in Shopian town by the Municipal Committee (MC) Shopian.
