Jammu, Jan 29: A grand congregation was organised at Markazi Jamia Masjid Sharif Sidhra in honour of Shab-e-Mehraj-un-Nabi (SAW).
The gathering commenced with the recitation of the holy quran under the supervision of the Imam of Markazi Jamia Masjid Sharif Sidhra, Maulana Abdul Ghani Sahib, who presided over the event.
Prominent Islamic scholars, including Mufti Syed Mazhar Hussain Sahib and Maulana Mushtaq Ahmed Sahib from Bathindi, addressed the gathering. They emphasised the importance of practicing Islamic teachings in daily life and encouraged the youth to distance themselves from evil deeds and engage in righteous actions. They highlighted that Shab-e-Mehraj is a night full of divine blessings, virtues and mercy.
The gathering also featured speeches by Maulana Manzoor Ahmed from Dungiyal, Maulana Abdul Rashid from Bajalta and others. The session was efficiently moderated by Maulana Ghulam Mustafa from Bishnah.
During their addresses, the scholars stressed the importance of unity, peace, and brotherhood in society. They urged the audience to abandon social evils and strengthen communal harmony. The attendees deeply appreciated the thoughtful organization of the event and commended the Markazi Jamia Masjid Sharif Sidhra Committee and Imam Maulana Abdul Ghani Sahib for their continuous efforts in promoting unity and goodwill. Special emphasis was laid on guiding the youth to stay away from substance abuse and other social evils, encouraging them to contribute positively to the progress and prosperity of society. The scholars reminded the youth of their crucial role in building a harmonious and strong community. The event concluded with Maulana Abdul Ghani extending heartfelt gratitude to all the distinguished guests and attendees for their presence, which made the gathering even more meaningful and spiritually enriching.
