Govt Polytechnic Jammu organises painting competition

Jammu, March 18: To celebrate India’s G20 presidency, Government Polytechnic Jammu on Saturday organised a painting competition with the theme of “Green Development, Climate and Lifestyle for Environment”.  
Around 20 students participated in the competition. The theme of India’s G20 presidency is Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam with a focus on sustainable and environment-friendly lifestyles, harmony within human families and honest conversations about climate change and global security. 
Er Arun Bangotra, the principal of the college, lauded the efforts of each team and emphasised feeling the spirit of the theme of G20. He provided information about India’s yearlong G20 presidency. 
The competition was coordinated by Manish Kumar, HOD Basholi painting, Sakshi Kapahi Incharge Humanities, Abhishek Padha and Antima Manhas, Instructor Basholi painting, Chamel Singh PEM and Toshi Devi, PET. 
Yamana Kotwal, a student of the Stenography trade, bagged 1st position, Kavita from Beautician and VaneetaSekhri from Fashion Designing trade shared 2nd position, and Suhani from Fashion Designing and Harpreet Kaur from Basholi painting shared 3rd position. Others present on the occasion were Er I.J Singh, Workshop Superintendent, Er Rajesh Gupta, HOD Automobile Engineering, Faculty, IRG scheme and students.
