Jammu, July 24: The premier hospital of Jammu region, the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, (GMC&H-J) is so overloaded that around five hundred and thirty four (534) patients are treated in the emergency ward of this hospital.“On an average over 534 patients are reported in the Emergency ward of the GMC-Jammu on daily basis,” the Principal of GMC-Jammu, Dr Ashutosh informed Rising Kashmir.“Apart from this, the OPD services and other departments of the hospital are also overloaded,” he said, while adding, “the hospital is doing its best to provide best patient care to the people”.In the month of July, 534 patients were treated in the Emergency, while 148 other patients were admitted in this ward of GMC-Jammu in June.A total of 4933 tests were conducted in the labs of GMC-Jammu of the patients admitted in the Emergency Ward of the Hospital. Apart from this, 76 CT scans, 196 USG, 292 X-Rays and 254 ECGs were done of the patients reported in the Emergency ward of the GMC-Jammu in June.
