GLDM GDC Hiranagar win Inter Collegiate Hockey Men’s Trophy 2022

Hiranagar, Dec 11: GLDM Government Degree College Hiranagar won the University of Jammu Inter-Collegiate Hockey Men’s Trophy 2022, beating GDC Kunjwani 4-0 in the finals at the University of Jammu.
Earlier in the semi-finals, GDC Hiranagar beat GCD Kathua 5-2. The championship was organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education at the University of Jammu Hockey Field.
Dr. Pragya Khanna Principal of GLDM Degree College Hiranagar, IQAC Convenor Prof. Shujat Khan, Mr. Vikram Jamwal Physical Director of the college along with other staff members welcomed the winning hockey team at the college premises. The Principal honoured the captain, Mr. Prashant Verma, along with the team at the medal ceremony. He applauded the efforts of the team and the HOD Department of Physical Education and Sports for “such a big achievement and win” of the college at Jammu Division.
The Principal also congratulated the Physical Director Mr. Vikram Jamwal for the “miraculous performance” of the hockey team of the college and ensured the best possible infrastructure and facilities for Physical Education and Sports Department in the upcoming session. The senior faculty members Prof. Gurdyal, Prof. Rajesh Sharma, Prof. Rakesh Sharma, Prof. Parveen Sharma, Prof. Manjot Singh, Dr. Jyoti Rani, Prof. Neha Bhagat, Dr. Kiran Thappa, Mrs. Ritu Bhushan, Dr. Arun Kumar, Dr. Usha  Rani, Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Dr. Arun Bose, Dr. Ravinder Singh, and Dr.Bhupinder Singh also appreciated the excellent performance of the players and wished them to achieve more in future.
