Rafiabad, May 23: The Government Higher Secondary School Chatoosa in Rafiabad successfully organized an annual cross-country race from HSS Chatoosa to Hatchipora, with the participation of 50 students from various institutions. The race, conducted by the institution’s sports section, commenced with the flag-off by Principal Miss Parveen Akther.
Each participant demonstrated exceptional determination throughout the race, striving to outperform their opponents. Adnan Ahamd Bhat emerged as the first-place finisher, followed by Danish Ahamd Kumar in second place, and Javid Ahamd Seer in third.
The event witnessed students from different institutions enthusiastically joining the race, adding to the competitive atmosphere. Following the race, a prize distribution ceremony was held to honor the winners.
Expressing her joy, Principal HSS Chatoosa said, “I extend my congratulations to all the participants and take pride in the presence of such talented players in our institution. I hope they will bring glory to our school at both state and national levels.” She also expressed gratitude to the J&K Police for their assistance in ensuring the smooth conduct of the event.
The success of the event was attributed to the cohesive efforts of the senior faculty members, including Gh Rasool, Nazir Ahmad, Faisal Geelani, Javid Ahmad, Rasheed Naiko, Rizwan Akbar, Ajaz Dar, and other staff, who worked as a well-coordinated team.
Furthermore, the school announced its plans to organize more events in the coming days, aiming to provide further opportunities for students to showcase their talents and receive a boost in their development.
