Ganderbal, Nov 06: A government-run school building in the Gujar Basti Hariganiwan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district sustained significant damage on Monday when a decaying tree uprooted, causing the rooftop to collapse.
Local residents reported that the incident resulted in damage to the school’s roof and the back side of the building. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported, as all students and teaching staff were safely evacuated, they said.
Authorities are currently assessing the extent of the damage and taking necessary steps to ensure the safety and well-being of the students and staff affected by the incident.
