Srinagar, Apr 03: Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Amrit Mohan Prasad, IPS, undertook a comprehensive two day visit on March 2nd and 3rd , 2025 to the Kashmir Valley to assess the operational preparedness of SSB deployments.
During his visit, the Director General inspected various key locations, starting with the Sector Headquarters (Spl-Ops) in Srinagar. Where he received a detailed briefing on the functioning of SSB deployments in the Valley. Addressing the Jawans during the ‘Sanik-Sammelan’ and participating in the ‘Bada Khana’, in the SSB Units, DG expressed his appreciation for their dedication and emphasized the importance of discipline in duty within the operational sector. The DG reiterated the commitment of the force in maintaining the peaceful environment of the valley.
DG SSB also visited the Battalions of SSB in Valley, interacting directly with the deployed Jawans. He listened attentively to their concerns and issued on-spot directives for their resolution, reaffirming his commitment to their welfare.
Accompanying the Director General were Imtiaz Ismail Parray, IPS, DIG Sector HeadQuarter SSB Srinagar, and other ground commanders of the SSB, underscoring the collaborative effort in ensuring security and stability in the region.
