Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday said to have arrested four gamblers at Bangla bagh in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A Police spokesperson said Police party of Police Station Baramulla on a specific information regarding presence of gamblers at Bangla Bagh Baramulla.
He said that acting upon the information Police Party of Police Station Baramulla led by Inspr Vilayat Hussain SHO PS Baramulla* rushed towards the and on noticing the police party gamblers tried to flee from the spot but the alert police party chased them and we’re apprehended tactfully.
“The arrested gamblers were identified as:Abdul Rashid Rather S/O Abdul Qadir Rather R/O Khadniyar Bla,Bashir Ahmad Buhroo S/O Gh mohd Buhroo R/O Azad Gunj Bla, Nazir Ahmad Dar S/O Ab Rehman Dar, R/O Azad gunj & Gh Nabi Gojree S/O Late Sanaullah Gojree R/O Azad gunj”, he said.
“Playing cards alongwith stake money of Rs 4860/- were recovered from them.Case under sections of 13 Gambling Act registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigation taken up.
