First Phase of B2V5 commences in district Ramban

Back to Village-5 (B2V5) programme commenced today in district Ramban under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary with great enthusiasm and public participation. 

The District Administration has deployed Visiting Officers for B2V5 with the mandate to receive and document the feedback and response of the public which will provide a strong database to ensure sustainable development of the district for the larger benefits of the rural people. All the visiting officers were directed to ensure that all parameters of the programme are thoroughly executed and factual details of different schemes implemented in the respective panchayat is captured   so that the aim of holding the programme is achieved. Besides, the visiting officers were also directed to review the SDG & deliverables.

In the first phase, the Back to Village-5 programme has been started in  3 blocks, while the same process will continue in other blocks of the district and final phase which will culminate on 16 November, 2023.

The designated Visiting Officers along with supporting staff and Government functionaries reached their destinations for two days and one night stay to listen to villagers & prepare and approve the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) as per the wishes of people of the village.

In the morning, people enthusiastically welcomed the Visiting Officers in   Panchayats where they interacted with people and noted their day-to-day developmental issues.  They also took stock of the ongoing developmental works taken up in their areas under different schemes, besides inspecting functioning of the  Schools, Wellness Centre, Anganwadi centres and other institutions. They also witnessed sports and other events organised by the students and locals besides taking part in Graha Parvesh of beneficiaries in PMAY-G houses on the occasion. 

The Visiting Officers also monitored the implementation of different Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) including beneficiary oriented schemes like Jal Jeeven Mission (JJM), PMAY-G, PMEGP, PM-Kissan, KCC, etc at grassroots level.
