Farewell accorded to outgoing Principal Govt Dental College & Hospital, Srinagar on his superannuation

Srinagar, Apr 30: The Faculty and staff of the Govt. Dental College & Hospital accorded a grand farewell to Prof.(Dr.) Riyaz Farooq, outgoing Principal of the said institution in the college auditorium. Prof. Dr. Riyaz Farooq is superannuating from his active service career on Tuesday after putting nearly 35 years of service in the said institution.
On the occasion various faculty and staff of the institution lauded the tremendous contribution of the outgoing Principal for the said institution. Prof. (Dr.) Aijaz Ahmad Shah, HOD of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the said institution spoke on this occasion and appreciated the efforts of the outgoing principal for the progress of this institution.
Prof. (Dr.) Shabir Ahmad Shah, HOD Dental Material and Medical Superintendent of the said institution enumerated in detail the yeomen contributions of the outgoing Principal for the said institution, both on the academic front and on the infrastructure development front. On the said occasion Prof. (Dr.) Shabir A. Shah mentioned that it was a result of dedicated and hardwork of the outgoing principal only, that resulted in the start of post-graduation in the said institution 15 years ago. Prof. Shabir A. Shah wished the outgoing principal very happy, healthy and prosperous post retirement life.
Prof. Dr. Sandeep Kour, Prof Dr. Mohammad Mushtaq, Prof. Dr. Aamir Rashid, Dr. Asim Farooq, Dr. Ashiq Ali, Dr Altaf, Dr. Mansoor, Mr. Javeed Rasool Shawl were the other speakers who spoke on the said occasion and all the speakers lauded the extra ordinary contributions of the outgoing Principal since last two decades for making the said institution one of the best Dental Colleges of the country.
On the said occasion the outgoing Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Riyaz Farooq wished the institution best of luck in future and also acknowledged the fact that the progress of the said institution till date would not had been possible without the support of the HODs, faculty and the staff of the institution and individually thanked all the staff of the institution which were present on the said occasion.
On the said occasion outgoing principal was presented with a memento and gifts by the staff of the said institution. The event concluded with a photo session of the outgoing Principal with the staff members of each department/section of the institution.
