Jammu, Nov 01: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Jammu, celebrated its 72nd Foundation Day with a ceremony to acknowledge and reward the exceptional performance and dedication of its officials, who have contributed to the organization’s impressive service record in the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. This milestone also marked five years of EPFO’s service delivery in the region.
Rizwan Uddin, Regional PF Commissioner-I, led the event by reviewing the performance of the Jammu office and applauding the efforts of employees across various sections. He highlighted a 9% increase in income from the Administrative Account (Account No-2) for the financial year 2024-25, as compared to the previous year, demonstrating the team’s service excellence and growth contributions. Additionally, the office achieved a significant improvement in its claim rejection ratio, decreasing from 17% in 2023 to 15% in 2024, outperforming the national average.
Membership growth has also surged, with a 21% increase in net enrollments this fiscal year. From 494,860 accounts in 2023-24, membership expanded to 598,174 in 2024-25. Initiatives like effective communication with employers, media engagement, and advocacy efforts like NAN 2.0 were credited for this achievement.
EPFO Jammu has become a model for innovation, introducing flexi-working hours in July-August 2021. Nearly 45% of claims are processed early in the morning between 7:00 AM and 9:20 AM, boosting employee morale and enhancing productivity. This operational flexibility has resulted in cohesive teamwork and efficient service delivery.
Sanjeev Kumar, Senior Social Security Assistant, received special recognition for processing a record 1,124 claims in a single day on September 16, 2024, and for settling 18,578 claims, including 132 death claims, during the current financial year. His commitment has inspired colleagues to elevate their performance.
Other acknowledged contributors include Ashwani Gaind, Programmer, for his multitasking efforts; Meenakshi, Senior SSA, for settling 8,217 claims, including 95 death cases; and officials like Sheesh Kumar, Rinku Sharma, and Charan Singh for their consistent and disciplined work in claim settlements and administrative support.
Paramjeet Singh-I, Senior SSA in the Pension Section, was honored for ensuring timely pension disbursements, while Rakesh Kumar, Senior SSA, ensured prompt payments even during festive times, including working on Diwali to process claim disbursements.
The Regional PF Commissioner also appreciated the volunteerism and multitasking efforts of several other employees, including DEOs Asif Maqbool, Pallavi, and Nawreena, as well as MTS staff Shakti and Surjeet. Their dedication to resolving grievances and ensuring efficient operations was commended.
Rizwan Uddin emphasized the importance of teamwork, volunteerism, and proactive service, stating that the spirit of collaboration and a commitment to stakeholder support have led to significant accomplishments and boosted employee morale. Ajit Kumar Mishra, RPFC-II, echoed these sentiments, appreciating the extraordinary team effort and its impact on the organization’s success.
