Srinagar, March 10: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-Kashmir) Monday concluded two one-week E-Management Development Programmes (E-MDPs) held from March 4 March 10.
The programmes, titled “Developing Market Linkages for Effective Agricultural Management” and “Product Development and Financial Management for Enterprise Development,” aimed to enhance participants’ skills in agricultural market access, product innovation and financial management.
These intensive online training sessions provided practical tools and strategic insights to help participants navigate the complexities of modern agriculture and business. The first programme focused on improving market linkages, strengthening supply chains and increasing farm incomes, while the second addressed product development, financial planning, and sustainable enterprise growth. The programmes featured expert-led sessions, interactive workshops, and real-world case studies, equipping participants with market analysis techniques, supply chain strategies, financial planning skills, and decision-making frameworks.
Dr S.H. Baba, Organising Secretary, emphasised the importance of empowering agricultural stakeholders through innovative strategies and technology-driven solutions. Similarly, Dr K. Gautam, Dr Ubair Nisar, Dr Farheen Naqash and Dr Khalandar highlighted the crucial role of entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and product development in driving economic diversification and job creation. These E-MDPs reaffirms SKUAST-Kashmir’s commitment to capacity building, economic empowerment, and sustainable development in the region.
