Anantnag, May 11: The Department of Youth Services and Sports in Anantnag celebrated a Sports Week for Senior Citizens in the Zonal Primary Education Officer (ZPEO) zone of Bijbehara on Thursday, at Dara Shikoh Garden in Bijbehara, Anantnag.
The event saw senior citizens participate in various sports activities, such as carrom, tug of war, chess, and a 100-meter run, with almost 43 participants showing enthusiasm and energy. Notably, many ex-senior officers of the Youth Services and Sports Department took an active part in the events, including Nisar Ahmad Salroo (former DYSSO Anantnag), Mohd Ibrahim Shah (former ZPEO Bijbehara), Ab Rehman Wagay (former ZPEO Srigufwara), Bashir Ahmad Lone (former ZPEO Bijbehara), Mohd Yousuf Shan (former ZPEO Bijbehara), and other employees of the Department, such as Sajad Ahmad Darsaroo (Activity Incharge, ZPEO Bijbehara) and Shabir Ahmad Dar (Junior Assistant, ZPEO Bijbehara).
