Continuing its unwavering efforts to eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society and taking stringent actions against drug peddlers, Pulwama Police has arrested one more drug peddler and recovered contraband substances.
According to a spokesperson, A police party of police station Kakapora under the supervision of SHO PS Kakapora laid a naka near Railway Crossing and during naka checking a suspicious individual, identified as Irfan Ayoub khan s/o Mohd Ayoub khan R/o Begumbagh, was intercepted while attempting to evade the police. A search revealed a 01 polythene bag of green colour containing brown sugar like substances from his possession.
“During further questioning of the accused person additional 40 grams of brown sugar like substance and 01 digital weighing machine which he has hid in his old residential was also recovered”, he said.
He said that consequently, a case FIR No. 12/2024 U/S 8/21 NDPS act was registered and a comprehensive investigation has been initiated.
