Jammu, Jan 09: Dr Piyush Singla conducted a thorough review of the department on Tuesday after assuming the charge of the Administrative Secretary, School Education Department. The meeting, attended by key officers, included a detailed presentation covering various aspects of the department.
During the session, discussions were held on the department’s overall functioning, the progress made under Centrally Sponsored Schemes, UT Capex, Human Resource Management (HRM) issues, and the department’s best practices and initiatives.
The Secretary emphasized the importance of completing Departmental Promotion Committees (DPCs) on time, finalizing seniority, and ensuring the availability of quality infrastructure for students. He urged all officers and officials to adhere to principles of punctuality and discipline while ensuring the delivery of quality education.
Dr Singla instructed the effective implementation of new initiatives such as PM SHRI, Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK), Samiksha app, and JK attendance app. The meeting was attended by both Directors of School Education, Director Finance SED, Special Secretaries SED, Project Director Samagra Shiksha, Joint Director Planning, and other departmental officers.
