In a concerted effort to bolster democratic engagement, the District Election Office in Pulwama has initiated a comprehensive awareness program on Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT).
The campaign, launched on December 15, 2023, aims to enlighten citizens at various levels, including assembly constituencies, polling stations, and the district headquarters.
Under the leadership of the District Election Office, five teams, comprising three individuals each, are actively conducting EVM demonstrations through a dedicated awareness van until February 28, 2024. This campaign seeks to cover 336 polling locations and 479 stations, fostering a deeper understanding of the electoral process among the community.
