Srinagar, May 12: Director, Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K Subash C Chhibber on Friday visited various areas of Srinagar city to take a first-hand view of different projects being carried out to develop modern sports infrastructure by the Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K (YSS).
He was accompanied by Joint Director Kashmir (JDK) YSS Waseem Raja. He passed on some on spot directions for speeding up the pace of executions. He stressed that during the execution of various working projects Guidelines issued by the Administrative Department should be adhered in letter and spirit.
He also directed the concerned to take up work of construction purely as per the approved DPRs.
Officers also visited the site of New Youth Hostel Srinagar and showed satisfaction over the quality of the initial work being carried out by the construction agency.
Dir YSS hoped that the sports infrastructure being developed would provide a lot of opportunities to the young blood to hone their skills and sports talent in the most professional manner.
