Srinagar, Oct 21: As a pre-run to Back to Village Programme (B2V4) under Jan Abhiyan, District Youth Services & Sports Office Srinagar has been conducting various Sports activities and related awareness programs in all the 21 panchayats of the District Srinagar. The main focus and aim of Jan Abhiyan is to aware people, especially youth, regarding various activities/opportunities being provided by the department besides conduct of sports activities.
During Jan Abhiyan since 15th October, DYSSO Srinagar has engaged hundreds of youth from 21 panchayats in sports activities and other relevant programs. In one such event held today at Candid Higher Secondary School Nowgam- A, Director Youth Services & Sports JK, Joint Director Kashmir YS&S, Vice Chairman District Development Council Srinagar, DYSSO Srinagar and other officers and officials of the department attended the Mass Yoga Display event. About 170 Boys & Girls from Lasjan A&B, NowgamA& B (Srinagar Block) participated in the colourful event.
Sports activities/programs were also conducted at Theed A&B &SyedporaPanchayats in Block Harwan and where a large number of sports lovers/enthusiast participated in the activities.
