DHSK visits Baltal case camp hospital

Srinagar, Aug 18: Director Health Services, Kashmir Dr Jehangir Bakshi today visited Baltal to take health care review of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2024.
On this occasion he took a comprehensive review of health care services wherein CMO Ganderbal, Medical Director Yatra, Baltal Axis briefed the director health about the level of health care services provided to the pilgrims during the yatra which is going to conclude on 19th of August 2024.
Director Health Services, Kashmir was also briefed by the Officer In-charge Yatra Unit DHSK regarding the overall yatra care arrangements from both baltal and pahalgam axis that have been provided during the yatra period.
After the detailed presentation overview he inspected the Baltal Base Camp Hospital and visited all the sections of the hospital.This was followed by an interactive session with staff deputed from outside which included staff from prestigious institutes like AIIMS,PGI Chandigarh and JIPMER.He also interacted with local staff also who have been posted there to provide health care services during yatra.DHSK also on this occasion took virtual review meet with officers and officials of both the axis and interacted with them.
CMO Anantnag and his yatra unit were connected from Pahalgam axis during the meet. The officers and in-charges of basecamp briefed the Director about their work done during the yatra period.
DHSK emphasised on the officers and officials to ensure that till all the service provider descent from various camps staff should be stationed and act as per demobilisation plan that has been already conveyed thereby avoiding sudden discontinuation of services at vital stations.
DHSK also interacted with the health care workers who have been deployed with the Chadi Mubarak Procession. He ensured that all arrangements are in place for smooth procession of the chadi mubarak.
While appreciating the staff for their relentless efforts in providing health care services in challenging terrain DHSK expresses gratitude to all the officers, officials and supportive staff for working with utmost zeal and zest in providing hassle free health care services during the yatra period.
He also sought feedback from staff and officers so to further improve upon the health care delivery system during Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.Director Health Services, Kashmir concluded his visit later by visiting Domail Medical Aid Centre and interacted with the staff there and took stock of health care services.
