Deptt of IT organizes industrial tour for students

Ganderbal, Nov 01: Department of IT, Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) organized a two-week industrial tour for the M. Tech students of 2nd and 4th semesters, batches of 2023 and 2022, respectively, to the Department of Computer Science at National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh.
The programme offered students invaluable exposure to emerging technologies and industry practices. During the tour, students attended specialized lectures on Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security, with hands-on training sessions that deepened their practical knowledge in these critical fields. They also visited SCIR laboratories and research centers in Chandigarh, gaining insight into pioneering research and technology innovations.
Congratulating the students on their participation, the tour coordinator, Dr. Yash Paul, Assistant Prof. and Coordinator of the Department, said, “Experiences like these are vital for students to remain abreast with the latest technological trends, equipping them for the demands of the fast-evolving tech industry.”
He thanked the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A. Ravinder Nath, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Shahid Rasool, Registrar, Prof. M. Afzal Zargar, for their support. He also thanked colleagues including Dr. Zahoor Ahmad and Er. Afaq Alam, for their valuable contributions.
