Samba, July 9: In a significant move towards infrastructural development, the District Administration Samba today disbursed compensation amounting to ₹2,96,87,143 among 40 beneficiaries from five villages under the land acquisition for the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway project.A statement issued here said that a special compensation disbursement camp was organised at Vijaypur, where the compensation was handed over to the rightful landowners. The event was held under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Samba, Rajesh Sharma. Also present during the camp were Additional Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Samba, SDM Vijaypur and other concerned officials who ensured a smooth and transparent process. The DC reiterated the commitment of the district administration to ensure timely disbursal of compensation and emphasized the importance of the expressway in enhancing regional connectivity, economic growth and citizen convenience. The beneficiaries appreciated the prompt action taken by the administration and expressed satisfaction over the hassle-free and transparent compensation process.
