Srinagar, Oct 10: Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat on Thursday chaired a meeting here at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex regarding the launch of the E-Arzi, an Applications Management Portal to facilitate the Citizens.
The E-Arzi is a Portal being launched to effectively and efficiently manage applications the Deputy Commissioners Office receives.
During the meeting, the DC Srinagar remarked that this portal is a novel idea focusing on applications received and their redressal. All the line Departments of the District are integrated into this portal.
Through the E-Arzi Portal, Citizens no longer need to physically come to the DC Office to submit their applications. They can log in to the Portal with their Phone number and submit applications. A Tracking ID will be provided so that citizens can track their application and know about the resolution.
Taking it a step further, the DC also remarked about the WhatsApp Chatbot being launched as an integral part of the E-Arzi portal. Citizens can now message the Official Account of DC Srinagar on WhatsApp to log their applications. They can also track their applications from the same account by providing the Tracking ID.
Regarding this initiative, the DC Srinagar said that this Portal can potentially revolutionize the interaction between citizens and Administration.
Further, this portal will also help the District Administration to find the hotspots of issues and address them effectively by providing the administration with a bigger picture.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Ahmad Kataria, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr Khalid Hussain Malik, SP Headquarter, Umer Shah, District/Sectoral Officers, Tehsildars and other concerned were presented in the meeting.
