Poonch, Aug 23: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting to review the status of government services facilitated through Common Service Centres (CSCs). The meeting aimed to ensure that the general public can effectively access portal-based services in the district.District Manager of CSC Imtiaz Ahmed provided an overview of the CSC operations and the services offered. It was informed that there are 330 Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) and 23 CSC touch points functioning in government offices across the district.The Deputy Commissioner emphasised the need for launching special awareness campaigns to encourage the maximum number of citizens to avail the benefits of CSC services.Furthermore, the DC instructed the Centre Operators to work in an organised manner and establish a regulatory body to improve operational effectiveness.The meeting was attended by General Manager DIC, CPO, ACP, ACR, CMO, Xen JPDCL, DSWO, ALC, Manager SICOP, District Informatics Officer, LDM, District Manager CSC Poonch, along with VLEs.
