Reasi, Aug 29: The District Administration Reasi on Friday held a district-level orientation programme under the Adi Karamyogi Abhiyan – Responsive Governance Programme, chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Nidhi Malik. As per a statement issued here, aligned with the state-level initiative, the programme seeks to lay the groundwork for holistic development in 44 tribal villages spread across nine blocks of Reasi. It also set the stage for a forthcoming three-day District Process Lab, to be followed by block and village-level orientations. The framework of the Abhiyan includes the creation of District and Block Responsive Governance Groups (DRGG and BRGG) to regularly review and monitor progress. The DRGG, chaired by the DC, will work in coordination with departments including Tribal Affairs, Jal Jeevan Mission, Health, Education, Forest, and Rural Development.Adi Sewa Kendras will be designated at the village level as single points of contact, while Civil Society Organisations, Adi Sahyogis and Adi Saathis will be involved in preparing Model Village Action Plans.Addressing the participants, DC Malik urged BDOs, line departments, and panchayat-level employees to actively engage in the exercise rather than treating it as a formality. She stressed the need for synergy among stakeholders, noting that “the Vision Plan will only succeed with active community participation and close coordination on the ground.” She reiterated the administration’s commitment to transforming the identified tribal villages into model settlements through collaborative and responsive governance.
