Ganderbal, May 30: In view of the upcoming annual Mata Kheer Bhawani Mela-2025, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, today conducted an on-the-spot inspection of the arrangements being put in place at the Kheer Bhawani Temple, Tulmulla, to ensure smooth and hassle-free conduct of the religious festival.
It is pertinent to mention that the Mata Kheer Bhawani Mela is scheduled to be held on June 3, on the auspicious occasion of Jyeshtha Ashtami, and is expected to witness the participation of a large number of devotees from across the country.
During his visit, the DC inspected various arrangements related to accommodation, sanitation, logistics, security, and other basic amenities for the yatris. He took a round of the temple complex and issued on-spot directions to ensure that all necessary facilities are in place for the devotees paying obeisance at the holy shrine.
Emphasizing the importance of seamless coordination, the DC directed all concerned departments to ensure the availability of essential services, and to establish a foolproof mechanism for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the festival.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner also visited the Central University Kashmir campus at Tulmulla, which has been designated as an accommodation site for devotees during the festival. He reviewed the arrangements made for night stay, including bedding, sanitation, sufficient toilet facilities, security, parking spaces, and langar sites.
The DC directed the officials to ensure that devotees are provided a safe, clean, and comfortable environment throughout their stay, with round-the-clock services in place.
With all arrangements being finalized, the district administration reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a peaceful, organized, and spiritually enriching celebration of the Mata Kheer Bhawani Mela 2025.
