Jammu, Jul 10: The Congress has called for an early resolution to the issues faced by the protesting Power Development Department (PDD) daily wagers.In a statement issued here, JKPCC president Tariq Hameed Karra expressed solidarity with the protesting workers and urged the authorities to address their genuine demands promptly. “The government should initiate dialogue with the workers and resolve their issues in a time-bound manner without any unnecessary delay,” he said.A meeting was also attended by several senior leaders and former officials, including Working President Raman Bhalla, former MP Ch Lal Singh, former Ministers Mula Ram and Yogesh Sawhney, former MLA Balwan Singh, Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, Ved Mahajan, Ex-Chairman JKLC Jahangir Mir, former ministers Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma and Yashpal Kundal, former MLA Balbir Singh, Ex-MLA Naresh Gupta, Ex-MLC Dina Nath Bhagat, Ex-MLC Sham Lal Bhagat, and others. These leaders expressed their support for the agitating PDD workers and urged the government to concede to their genuine demands.
