Jammu, May 21: In continuation to the election campaign in favour of the Apni Party candidate for the Rajouri-Anantnag parliamentary seat, Zafar Iqbal Manhas, the party leaders organised a meeting at Durga Nagar in Jammu district.
The meeting, according to a party statement, was organised by the Durga Nagar Welfare Committee and chaired by the State General Secretary, Vijay Bakaya and senior leader M K Yogi.
During the meeting, Bakaya educated the migrant Kashmiri Pandit voters about the policy and agenda of the party that would be implemented for the welfare of the migrant community for their safe and honourable return to their homeland, Kashmir, the statement said.
He said the party is fully aware and committed to implementing its welfare policy in favour of the migrant Kashmiri Pandits residing in Jammu, and other places after their migration from Kashmir Valley.
“We are going to extend our help to the migrant KPs in camps as well as in non-camp areas to uplift their living standard. As far as the concerns of increasing unemployment among the migrant KPs, we will ensure that the younger generation gets suitable employment in government as well as private sector,” Bakaya said.
Yogi while addressing the meeting said, “The migrant KPs have assured their support to the Apni Party’s candidate from Rajouri – Anantnag seat, Zafar Iqbal Manhas Sahab.”
“The migrant KPs feel that they were used as vote banks by the traditional parties. Therefore, they have made up their mind to support the Apni Party for their bright future, as well as peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir,” said State General Secretary Youth Wing / Spokesperson of the Party, Abhay Bakaya.
The meeting was attended by Nanaji Wattal, Pawan Koul, Muktesh Yogi, Ashok Kumar Koul, Virender Sathoo, Hira Lal, Rattan Lal, Ashok Bhavno, Sanjay Raina, and others.
