Cognisance taken of officer’s conduct in Kulgam, DIG South to submit findings in 10 Days: Police

Police have taken cognisance of a video circulating on social media showing a police officer's conduct with the public in Kulgam. The video surfaced after the family of a missing nomadic man, whose body was recovered, staged a protest on the national highway in Qazigund. Taking to the microblogging site X (formerly Twitter), the Kashmir Zone Police stated, “A video has surfaced on social media regarding a police officer's conduct with the public in Kulgam. We have taken cognisance of yesterday's incident and the allegations regarding the officer's conduct.” Police further said that the DIG South Kashmir Range (SKR) will enquire into the matter and submit his findings within 10 days.
