Civil society, trade delegations call on Bukhari

Srinagar, Feb 21: Former legislator and Apni Party leader Yawar Dilawar Mir on Friday led a delegation from Rafiabad, Baramulla to meet the party president, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari here.
The delegation, comprising members of civil society and the local trade body, apprised Bukhari of certain issues they were facing, urging him to bring these matters to the notice of the concerned officials for swift resolution. Besides Mir, prominent members of the delegation included Mohammad Ashraf Shah, president of the Traders Federation, and Basharat Mehraj, chairman of Civil Society Rafiabad.
According to a party statement issued here, the delegation brought certain administrative and political issues affecting the people to the notice of Altaf Bukhari. He gave a patient hearing to the visiting delegation and assured them that he would bring these issues to the notice of the concerned authorities to ensure their prompt resolution.
Meanwhile, Apni Party President on Friday visited the residence of his party colleague and party’s Constituency Incharge for Pulwama, Dr Samiullah, to offer condolences over the passing of his beloved mother. He was accompanied by some of his senior party leaders during his condolence visit to the residence of Dr Samiullah, in Khellan, Gund Moosa are of Pulwama district.
The party chief met with the bereaved family members and expressed his condolences and sympathies over their irreparable loss. On this occasion, he prayed for patience and strength for the bereaved family and for eternal peace for the departed soul. “The entire leadership of the party stands in solidarity with our colleague Dr Samiullah and his family members in this time of grief and sorrow,” Bukhari said.
The prominent leaders who accompanied Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari during this condolence visit included former legislator and party Spokesperson Yawar Dilawar Mir, Provincial Coordinator Kashmir Javaid Ahmad Mir, District President Pulwama Ghulam Mohammad Mir, District President Srinagar Mohammad Shafi Mir, Syed Tajalah Andrabi, Shoaib Dar, Riyaz Gani Bhat and others.
