Slams AAP for betraying women of Punjab

Jammu, Mar 08: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary Tarun Chugh extended his heartfelt congratulations to Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for launching the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, a landmark scheme providing Rs 2500 per month to empower the women of Delhi. He lauded this initiative as a testament to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership, under which women’s empowerment is not just a slogan but a reality.
Chugh in a statement said the Double Engine Government has once again proven its commitment to fulfilling every promise made to the people. “While the Modi government is ensuring financial assistance for women in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab continues to deceive and betray its own women,” he said.
Taking a sharp dig at Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal, Chugh reminded them of their tall promises before the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections. He said, “AAP had promised Rs 1000 per month to every woman above 18 years in Punjab. It has been 36 months, yet not a single rupee has been given! Punjab’s mothers and sisters are still waiting while Mann and Kejriwal keep misleading them with lies and fake guarantees.”
The BJP leader accused the AAP government of running Punjab through propaganda and deception while completely failing to deliver on governance. “They can spend hundreds of crores on advertisements, but they cannot fulfill a promise that was meant to provide dignity and support to the women of Punjab. This is a shameful betrayal,” he said.
Comparing AAP’s governance with the BJP-led Delhi administration, Chugh said, “Delhi’s women are benefiting from the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana because of the decisive and development-driven approach of the BJP. In contrast, Punjab’s women have received nothing but betrayal, false promises, and worsening law and order under AAP.”
He further demanded that the AAP government immediately implement the promised Rs 1000 per month assistance for women in Punjab and release the pending arrears of the last three years. He warned that the BJP would continue to hold AAP accountable for its failures.
“Punjab’s women deserve better than a government that only knows how to fool, mislead, and betray. The BJP stands firmly with the women of Punjab and will continue to fight for their rights,” Chugh asserted.
