Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday solved burglary case by arresting one person in Gulmarg area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A Police Spokesperson said, “On 16th April, 2023 Police Station Gulmarg received a complaint from Manager Hotel Royal Park Gulmarg stating therein that during intervening nights of 15th & 16th April-2023, some unknown burglars entered into the hotel room bearing number 1005 and stole cash amounting Rs. 64500/- and two jackets belongs to tourists staying in the hotel.”
“To this effect Police Station Gulmarg registered Case FIR* under relevant sections of law and investigation was started.”
The spokesperson said that during the course of investigation of the case with the help of technical and human resources names of some suspects came to surface, one of them namely Umaiz Ahmad Mir @ Danish S/O Abdul Gani Mir R/O Aripathan Magam District Budgam was identified and was called for questioning.
After thorough interrogation he confessed that he had committed theft and upon his disclosure, all stolen property was recovered from his possession and was taken into custody immediately.
