Poonch, July 23: As the revered Budha Amarnath Yatra approaches, the Public Works Department (PWD) has intensified efforts to ensure top-notch arrangements for the visiting pilgrims. In this regard, Executive Engineer Shakeel Qureshi, Junior Engineer Abrar Malik, and Assistant Executive Engineer Zahoor Ahmad visited the Budha Amarnath Temple site in Mandi to assess the ongoing developmental works.During the inspection, the officials reviewed the construction of shelters and other essential infrastructure, much of which is being completed on a war footing. Speaking to the media, Executive Engineer Qureshi stated that 90% of the preparations have already been completed, and the remaining work will also be finished soon, provided weather conditions remain favorable.“Our teams are working round the clock to provide pilgrims with a safe, comfortable, and hassle-free environment,” he emphasised. He added that every possible measure is being taken to avoid any inconvenience to the devotees.The Budha Amarnath Yatra is considered one of the region’s most significant and sacred pilgrimages, drawing thousands of devotees annually. To ensure timely completion of all arrangements—including roads, sanitation, security, and accommodation—the administration is working in close coordination with various departments.
