Srinagar, Jul 31: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lal Chowk Constituency unit held an organisational meeting on Thursday here, which was attended by party workers and marked by a notable development as prominent leaders from various other political parties joined the party.The joining reflects the party’s growing acceptance and influence across the region, a statement issued here said.During the meeting, BJP Srinagar General Secretary Nasrullah Matoo provided a detailed update on the ongoing formation of booth committees within Lal Chowk Constituency. He praised the dedication of grassroots workers and highlighted the crucial role that booth-level organisation plays in effective public outreach and strengthening the party’s foundation.Constituency General Secretary Mohd Hussain expressed his gratitude to all participants for their commitment and valuable contributions towards bolstering the organisational framework.BJP leader Umer Shafi also addressed the gathering, appreciating the spirit of teamwork and encouraging everyone to continue working collectively for the betterment of both the party and the people.Senior BJP leader and District Development Council (DDC) Member Srinagar, Er Aijaz Hussain delivered the keynote address, stressing the importance of sincere and disciplined groundwork at the booth level. He urged workers to approach upcoming programs with unity, purpose, and dedication.Er Hussain said the party will organise a grand bike rally from Panthachowk to Lal Chowk to commemorate the historic abrogation of Article 370.
