The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K today celebrated its 45th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at its Headquaters, J-53, Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar.

The occasion marked the presence of party leaders, senior functionaries, karyakartas, and supporters from various parts of the Valley.

The Chief Guest for the event was Hon’ble Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, and Minority Affairs, Shri George Kurian, who addressed the gathering and praised the dedication and resilience of BJP workers in Kashmir. He emphasized the BJP’s unwavering commitment to national integration, development, and inclusive growth, particularly in Jammu & Kashmir.

In his address, Kurian said, “The Bharatiya Janata Party has always worked for ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas’. Our foundation is rooted in the spirit of nationalism and service. Kashmir holds a special place in our hearts, and we will continue to work for its peace and prosperity.”

Senior BJP leaders from Kashmir, Waqf Board Chairperson (MOS) Dr. Darakshan Andrabi including district office bearers and prominent workers, participated in the event.

The program included the hoisting of the party flag, singing of patriotic songs, and the reading of the BJP Foundation Day message from Hon’ble BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda.

The celebration also featured a solemn tribute to the martyred BJP leaders and workers who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the nation. A moment of silence was observed in their honor, reaffirming the party’s resolve to carry forward their mission with strength and sincerity.

In addition to the main event at Jawahar Nagar, BJP Foundation Day was simultaneously celebrated in all 10 districts of Kashmir Valley, organized under the leadership of the respective BJP District Presidents. These district-level programs witnessed enthusiastic participation from local party cadres, with a common message of unity, service, and strengthening grassroots democracy.

A special celebration was also held at Church Lane Srinagar, where BJP leaders and workers came together to mark the party’s founding principles and renew their pledge toward nation-building.

The day concluded with a collective oath by BJP workers to uphold the party’s ideology and contribute tirelessly toward a peaceful, developed, and inclusive Jammu and Kashmir.
