Srinagar, Jan 30: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday said that Bharat Jodo Yatra has shown us the path of love and unity.
She said the foundation of this country was laid on the basis of truth, non-violence, and love and we should preserve it.
Amid snowfall addressing the people at SK Stadium in Srinagar, Priyanka Gandhi expressed her gratitude to the people of Jammu and Kashmir for welcoming us with an open heart.
“When my brother was coming towards Kashmir, he said that my family members are waiting for me, they come and will hug me, they have tears in their eyes, so their pain, their emotions are getting absorbed in my chest,” she said.
Priyanka said initially she thought that Bharat Jodo Yatra will be very difficult. How will it go, how will it happen, people will welcome it, what will happen?
“Wherever we went, from Kanyakumari to Srinagar, people came out wherever he went. As there is still a feeling in this country, for the constitution, for the land and unity in diversity of this country, which is still there in the heart of every Indian,” she said.
Priyanka said she wants to thank all of the people standing in Srinagar, I want to congratulate you that you have shown a ray of light in our country and I hope that shown a ray of light in our country that hatred will end and love will take this country forward and bring you all together,’ she added.
