Srinagar, Nov 25: In order to make the public and healthcare professionals aware that pharmacists are important members of the healthcare team, Aryans College of Pharmacy, Rajpura near Chandigarh organised a seminar and various competitions on “National Pharmacy Week” on this year’s theme “Pharmacy of the world-India”.
Various activities including poster presentation, declamation & face painting were organised on the occasion. Prof (Dr) Anil Kumar, Department of Pharmacology, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University, Chandigarh, was the chief guest of the closing ceremony. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over.
Kumar while interacting said that the main objective of celebration of this week is to acknowledge and thank all the pharmacists and pharmacy sectors who are working tirelessly during the time of great uncertainty and challenges. He said society has definitely recognised the services rendered by pharmacists and the importance of pharmacy services during the pandemic situation and continues to do so hereafter.
“It is time to acknowledge the importance of pharmacists in the society as ‘if no pharmacists, then no medicines’; ‘and if no medicines, then no Swasth Bharat’,” he said.
