Jammu and Kashmir Government on Monday posted senior IPS officers Anand Jain as Inspector General of Police Jammu zone upon his promotion to ADGP grade.
As per the order issued by J&K Home Department, “In the interest of administration, it is hereby ordered that the following IPS officers, Shri Anand Jain, IPS (AGMUT: 1999), is posted as IGP Jamnu Zone and Nitish Kumar, IPS (AGMUT: 1999), as IGP CID J&K upon their promotion the grade of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP).
It stated that they shall continue in the present position, with the past declared equivalent in the rank and status to that of ADGP, held by them.
