Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday met a delegation of Pahari Community at Raj Bhawan.
Lt Governor said, “We are committed to ensure that the benefits of Scheduled Tribes reservation is extended to Pahari, Padari, Koli & Gadda Brahmin this year and they are included in the Tribal plan schemes.”
” I’ve assured the delegation that the issues projected by them will be implemented in letter and spirit”, he said.
Sinha asked the community elders to constitute a Samiti of prominent members for seamless coordination with Govt Officials on the issues concerning the community.
“Prominent Pahari leaders conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji for empowering the Pahari community while safeguarding the interest of Gujjar, Bakarwals & other listed tribes. They said we are all brothers & working with aim of nation-building”, he said.
