Scores of Congress activists, including Pradesh Congress Committee president Vikar Rasool Wani were detained on Monday in Jammu after they tried to take out a march to the Raj Bhavan over the Adani issue, Property tax, Aptech JKSSB Scam and delayed elections in J&K.
In a tweet, JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani wrote, “JKPCC today hold a protest march against the Crony capitalism of the Adani group, Property tax, Aptech JKSSB Scam and delayed elections in J&K. police detained and didn’t allow us to march towards Raj Bhawan.”
Meanwhile, the official Twitter handle of Indian National Congress J&K wrote, “Detained for seeking answers from the PM of India.We condemn the detention of senior Congress leaders including J&K PCC President Shri @vikar_rasool and JKPCC Working President Shri @RamanBhalla_ who were leading the ‘Chalo Raj Bhavan’ protest against the Modi-Adani nexus.”
