Two shops ‘illegally’ constructed on state land were sealed in Kokernag area of Anantnag district on Thursday, officials said.
An official said, the drive was carried out by revenue officials of Tehsil Kokernag and the two shops constructed on state land by a principal of a private school were sealed.
“On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, two shops illegally constructed by ‘Principal of private school’ were sealed today at Peer Takiya, of Tehsil Kokernag,” says Tehsildar Kokernag
The shops are worth around Rs 5 lakh and were constructed on state land, he said.
