Jammu, May 21: In order to boost morale of skaters of J&K, the award committee of Roller Athlete Skating Club (RASC) Jindrah, announced its annual awards and scholarships for the outstanding skaters who performed excellent during the year 2023 at National level.
An upcoming roller hockey player Izna sharma and promising speed skater Master Rajveer Singh Sarotria were named for the late Som Dutt Sharma Ji memorial award. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 2,001, a trophy and a certificate.
Tamanna Saini (Inline speed) has been selected as the best skater for the late Prof. Kuldeep Singh Jandrahia memorial award. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 5001, a trophy and a certificate.
Master Zayafat John (Roller hockey) and Kavya Sharma (Speed) has been selected for Late Smt. Asha Gupta Ji memorial scholarship. The scholarship carries an amount of Rs 2001, a trophy and a certificate.
The Publicity Secretary of the club Gagan Singh Jamwal said that our club is continuously working for the upliftment of this sport and skaters. He added that these awards would be a source of motivation for the skaters and the club always tried to give recognition to the best skaters of J&K.
