Katra, May 09: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University’s School of Electronics and Communication (ECE) recently spearheaded a transformative two-day workshop on VHDL and FPGA Hands-on training, aimed at empowering students with practical expertise in an industry with burgeoning demand.
Under the expert guidance of Mr. Kumar Divya, an esteemed Application Engineer-ASIC/FPGA at CoreEL Technologies, the workshop attracted 30 zealous students from diverse engineering backgrounds. Delving deep into the intricacies of FPGAs, participants explored a gamut of topics including FPGA families, ZYNQ and ZYNQ MPSOC architecture, and design flow using Vivado.
With a focus on practical applications, the workshop navigated through the integration of custom IPs with Vivado and offered insights into Embedded System Design using VITIS, enriching students with a comprehensive understanding of FPGA utilization in embedded systems.
Dr. Anil Bharadwaj, the Head of ECE, expressed gratitude towards the Honorable Vice Chancellor for unwavering support in organizing this pivotal event. He underscored the importance of bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications, hailing the workshop as a milestone in achieving this objective.
The success of the workshop was bolstered by the invaluable contributions of Dr. Vikram Singh, Gaurav Kumar, and the diligent coordination of Tarang coordinators Sonu and Yashwant, along with volunteers Ashutosh, Anubhav, and Ashish.
